Health centers in Serbia launch preventive medical screening initiatives
Health centers in Serbia are launching preventive screening initiatives to encourage early detection of medical conditions.
In Šabac, the Health Center is organizing abdominal ultrasound screenings starting Saturday, August 29. The program will begin in Majur from 7:00 to 14:00, with subsequent sessions scheduled for Jelenča, Volujac, Prnjavor, and Lipolist throughout September, followed by Šabac in October. These non-invasive examinations aim to detect pathologies in organs such as the liver, kidneys, pancreas, and spleen. No appointment or health insurance card is required.
Simultaneously, the Health Center Prokuplje is hosting a preventive health action on Saturday, August 29, at the Jug Bogdana Street promenade. Between 9:00 and 13:00, citizens can have their blood sugar levels, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation checked without an appointment. Health workers will also be available to provide advice on nutrition and lifestyle to help prevent diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.
