Health experts discuss blood pressure management and dietary myths
Medical experts have provided guidance on managing blood pressure and debunking common dietary myths. Andrologist dr. Jefry Tribowo addressed claims that goat torpedo acts as an aphrodisiac to enhance sexual desire. He stated that these claims are myths, noting that the high saturated fat content in such food can actually be harmful to blood vessel health and may increase the risk of erectile dysfunction.
Regarding hypertension management, dr. Cecep Hermawan suggested that isometric exercises, which involve holding specific body positions without significant joint movement, can help maintain blood vessel health. One recommended method is the wall squat, where an individual holds a seated position against a wall for two minutes, rests for two minutes, and repeats the cycle four times. This practice, recommended three times a week, is intended to trigger nitric oxide production to help relax blood vessel walls.
