Health experts warn men over 40 to monitor symptoms

Medical experts are warning men over the age of 40 to remain vigilant regarding physical symptoms that are often dismissed as fatigue or aging. Ignoring these signs can lead to delayed diagnoses of serious conditions, including diabetes, heart disease, and cancer.

In Poland, hypertension affects approximately 11.5 million adults and remains a primary risk factor for heart attacks and strokes. Cardiovascular diseases continue to be a leading cause of death, particularly for individuals over 45. Experts note that even young adults aged 20-35 are increasingly showing signs of hypertension.

To combat these risks, sports cardiologist Professor Łukasz Małek recommends increasing physical activity. He suggests aiming for 150 to 300 minutes of moderate intensity activity per week, such as brisk walking. Even small increments of movement can provide benefits for those who are currently inactive.
