These cases often stem from changes in dietary habits, consuming unfamiliar foods, or increased alcohol consumption during holidays. High-risk groups include the elderly and individuals with underlying conditions such as diabetes, kidney failure, or heart disease.

Additionally, specialists from Bach Mai Hospital advise travelers to be cautious of histamine poisoning from improperly stored seafood, such as tuna or mackerel, which can cause symptoms ranging from itching and hives to sudden drops in blood pressure. For those traveling to mountainous regions, experts warn of potential allergic reactions triggered by pollen, wild grass, or insect bites.
