Health incentives for youth and Vatican calls for global peace
At an international conference on health risk prevention, Ondřej Felix, Director General of the Health Insurance Fund of the Ministry of the Interior (ZPMV), introduced a new support package for young people aged 15 to 26. The initiative aims to foster lifelong healthy habits by linking financial contributions to preventive actions, such as medical check-ups and recommended vaccinations. For example, receiving an HPV vaccination is a prerequisite for accessing certain contraceptive supports.
In a separate address to young people, Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin emphasized the importance of international cooperation and trust in maintaining global peace. He advocated for a two-state solution in the Middle East and warned against the risks of impunity and the erosion of multilateralism. Parolin also highlighted concerns regarding artificial intelligence, specifically its impact on employment, its use in weaponry, and the growing technological divide between nations.
