Health infrastructure developments in Mexico and Colombia

In Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, the municipal and state governments have reached an agreement to donate land for the construction of a new health center in the Los Kilómetros area. The project involves a total investment of approximately 23.3 million pesos, with 20.1 million pesos allocated for construction and over 3.2 million pesos for medical equipment. Once completed, the center will provide primary care services, including vaccination, general consultations, dentistry, and emergency services.

Additionally, rehabilitation efforts are underway at the General Hospital in Ciudad Juárez, specifically focusing on operating rooms to improve surgical agility.

In Colombia, the San Pedro y San Pablo Hospital in La Virginia is managing repairs following a recent earthquake. The facility, which serves 17 municipalities across the Risaralda, Valle del Cauca, and Caldas regions, requires an investment of 3.5 billion pesos to repair its roofing. Despite the seismic damage, the hospital continues to implement an expansion plan to meet the healthcare demands of its extensive service area.
