Paraguay awards ‘Marca País’ licenses to dozens of local businesses
Paraguayan President Santiago Peña and Minister of Industry and Commerce Marco Riquelme led the distribution of ‘Marca País’ (Country Brand) licenses to dozens of local businesses and projects. The initiative aims to provide a commercial platform for national brands to compete in international markets and strengthen their global identity.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the licenses were awarded to approximately 43 entities, including 34 new recipients and 9 renewals. These businesses represent various productive sectors. The program is intended to position Paraguay globally through innovation in public policy and administrative agility.
During the event, the Ibero-American Country Brand Forum 2026 was announced, a new regional cooperation initiative designed to allow different Ibero-American nations to exchange experiences and strengthen joint international positioning efforts.
