Health initiatives launch in Fossano and Fusine

In Fossano, Italy, the Consorzio Monviso Solidale is launching a training course for Socio-Sanitary Operators (OSS). Starting August 26 and running through May 2027, the program includes approximately 30 participants, half of whom are currently unemployed. Organized in partnership with ASL CN1, the 1,000-hour curriculum consists of 535 hours of theory, 450 hours of practical activity, and 15 hours for the final exam.

In Fusine, the 24th Respiratory Campus for children with asthma will take place from August 23 to 30. The program focuses on health education, physical activity, and helping children manage asthma symptoms independently. A notable feature of this year's edition is an experimental project involving an ‘electronic nose’ developed by the startup LOD from the University of Udine. This technology will be used to study terpenes in the air—substances produced by plants with potential anti-inflammatory properties—to research their impact on respiratory and cardiovascular health.
