Health initiatives launched in Bahrain and Libya

In Bahrain, Kuwait Finance House (KFH) – Bahrain hosted the launch of the ‘His and Her Health’ initiative. Organized by Primary Healthcare Centers, the program aims to promote health awareness, prevention, and early detection. Dr. Ejlal Faisal Al-Alawi, CEO of Primary Healthcare Centers, noted that the initiative brings medical consultations and screenings directly to community members at their workplaces and various regions across the Kingdom. KFH – Bahrain CEO Dr. Shadi Zahran emphasized the bank's commitment to supporting employee well-being and fostering a healthy work environment through this partnership.

In Libya, the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) organized a national workshop titled ‘Community Medicine Between Reality of Work and Academic Education.’ Held in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and supported by the World Health Organization (WHO) office in Libya, the workshop involved representatives from community medicine departments across 18 Libyan universities. The event focused on bridging the gap between academic teaching and field practice to better prepare medical professionals for national health priorities and public health challenges.
