Health initiatives launched in Bariloche and Pinamar
Various health campaigns are being implemented in Argentina to promote preventative care. In San Carlos de Bariloche, the Modular Hospital at Kilómetro Ocho will host a free ophthalmological campaign on Thursday, November 5, from 8:00 to 12:00. The initiative is open to individuals over 18 and focuses on detecting glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and ophthalmological pathologies of cardiac origin. Organizers noted that spots are limited, service is provided on a first-come, first-served basis, and the event is strictly for detection rather than prescribing glasses.
In Pinamar, the municipality is marking World Diabetes Day with month-long activities through Diabetpin and the Ostende CAPS. Starting November 1, Diabetpin is offering blood glucose and blood pressure checks on weekdays from 7:00 to 14:00 without prior appointments. Additionally, a diabetologist will be available for consultations every Monday in November from 8:00 to 12:00. A workshop focused on balance and fall prevention is also scheduled for November 13 at 9:00.
