Health initiatives launched in Lugo and Milan

In Lugo, the Lions Club Lugo and Avis Comunale Lugo are organizing ‘Diabete? No Grazie’ on August 26 at Parco del Tondo. The event focuses on diabetes prevention through an information corner regarding risk factors, nutrition, and physical activity. The initiative includes a fundraiser for the Associazione Diabete Romagna to support those living with the disease. Additionally, Avis will promote blood and plasma donation, noting that individuals with compensated diabetes can donate if they are not on insulin.

In Milan, medical staff led by Dr. Ida Salvo have established the Buzzi Foundation to support the Buzzi Children's Hospital. The foundation aims to advance the facility's technological and scientific capabilities, seeking to transform the historic pediatric hospital into a leading international center for excellence. The goal is to revitalize the institution's research and care capacity, positioning it alongside other major Italian pediatric centers.
