Global breast cancer awareness initiatives expand during Pink October

Various regions across Latin America, Africa, and the Caribbean are conducting extensive health campaigns and community events to mark Pink October, a month dedicated to breast cancer awareness and prevention.

In Formosa, mobile health units provided 870 free mammographies across various towns. Meanwhile, in Tolhuin, municipal programs focused on patient testimonials and physical wellness.

In Mexico, the government of Puebla hosted a symposium featuring personal stories of survival, while in Yucatán, IMSS medical directors promoted self-examination and regular screenings. In Zacatecas, Equinox Gold provided free ultrasounds to rural communities.
