Health institutions in Portugal launch new wellness and research initiatives
Health institutions in Portugal are launching new initiatives to promote community wellness and academic research. In Viseu, the Escola Superior de Saúde de Viseu (ESSV) organized the ‘Saúde sem Filtros’ event at the Feira de São Mateus. The initiative provided the community with health assessments, including blood pressure, cardiovascular risk, and nutritional status, alongside discussions on neurodivergence, sleep, and emotional well-being.
Separately, Fórum Saúde XXI and the Egas Moniz School of Health & Science have formalized a partnership to develop joint projects in health, research, innovation, and literacy. While the collaboration aims to address health challenges on a national scale, it will maintain a specific focus on the Setúbal district to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and societal needs.
