Health leadership appointments announced in Ecuador and Chile

New health leadership appointments have been announced in Ecuador and Chile.

In Ecuador, the Ministry of Public Health has appointed Dr. Andrés Proaño Feijoó as the new Provincial Health Director of Santa Elena. His role focuses on strengthening healthcare services and improving administrative and assistance processes. During his initial site visits, including the Liborio Panchana Sotomayor General Hospital, Proaño aimed to identify operational needs to ensure timely access to health services.

In Chile, the Arica and Parinacota Health Service has incorporated Carlos Fuenzalida Arcos, a public health specialist, into its regional team. Fuenzalida will serve as the technical reference physician for the Comprehensive Person-Centered Care Strategy (ECICEP), where he will coordinate and supervise the implementation of this strategy across the regional health network.
