Health Minister Georgiadis Announces New Radiotherapy Center and Hospital Upgrades

On July 20, Greek Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis told ANT1’s “Καλοκαίρι Παρέα” that he will inaugurate two fully renovated health centres in Skíro and Skópelos, and a new clinic in Patmos and Kozani. He also announced the creation of the first radiotherapy centre for cancer patients in Western Macedonia, a project costing more than €20 million that aims to eliminate waiting lists and allow patients to receive treatment locally.

Later, Georgiadis visited the newly opened Elliniko sports complex, calling it “the new face of Greece” and saying it will attract hundreds of thousands of visitors and change the country’s image. He expressed pride in the infrastructure achievements and highlighted the broader impact on tourism and community life.
