The Special Department for Organized Crime and Corruption (POSKOK) has conducted searches at the Ministry of Health of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of an investigation into the New Life clinic, which later became Northwestern Medical Center IVF.

The investigation focuses on the legality of licenses issued to the private clinic and the handling of biological materials. The clinic's closure last year left hundreds of frozen embryos and other reproductive materials in an uncertain state, causing significant distress to patients. While the materials were eventually secured and transferred to the Kantonalna bolnica in Zenica, the circumstances surrounding the clinic's operations and the protection of patient rights remain under scrutiny.

Federal Minister of Health Nediljko Rimac and his advisor, Ivica Ćosić, have been granted suspect status. During the searches, investigators seized mobile devices, computer equipment, and relevant documentation. Rimac was questioned and subsequently released, but he remains a suspect in the ongoing case.
