Health Minister Zarfandi visits widow of Mohammad-Ali Rajai

Iran’s Minister of Health, Mohammad Reza Zarfandi, visited Ateghah Sedighi, the widow of the late President Mohammad-Ali Rajai. During the visit, Zarfandi noted that despite recent health issues requiring hospitalization, Sedighi did not disclose her status as the widow of Iran’s second president to medical staff.

Zarfandi remarked that this humility reflects the simple lifestyle associated with Rajai. He also discussed the ‘Naq Group,’ a circle of friends and associates established by Rajai to provide honest, direct feedback on his shortcomings. Sedighi recalled Rajai as a man of conviction who remained dedicated to his family and community in Qazvin despite his high-ranking responsibilities.
