Health Ministry and UNFPA launch family planning program in Cojedes

The Venezuelan Ministry of Popular Power for Health and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) conducted a comprehensive family planning program in the Ezequiel Zamora municipality of Cojedes state.

During the medical deployment at the Dr. Augusto Malavé Villalba Integral Popular Clinic, specialists provided long-acting subdermal implants to 30 young people. These implants are reported to have a 99% effectiveness rate and a five-year lifespan. Additionally, 1,470 condoms were distributed to assist in the prevention of sexually transmitted infections. The initiative involved multidisciplinary evaluations to ensure medical care was tailored to the specific needs of the participants.
