Health screening initiatives launched in Ghana
Various health screening initiatives are being conducted across Ghana to promote preventive healthcare and early disease detection.
In Coconut Grove, the Coconut Grove Regency Hotel, in partnership with Groupe Nduom, the Association of Ghana Industries, and the Accra Medical Centre, hosted a breast cancer screening event. The initiative aimed to provide health awareness and essential services to hotel staff and local residents.
In Techiman, the Ghana Physician Assistants Association (GPAA) is conducting free community health screenings at four locations, including the Techiman Central Market and the Regional Coordinating Council. Running through October 31, 2026, the exercise is part of the GPAA’s 23rd Annual General Conference. The program includes breast examinations and education on breast cancer awareness, specifically targeting workers and residents who may face barriers to visiting traditional health facilities.
