Health screenings conducted for 350 seasonal workers in Çarşamba

Health authorities in Samsun, Turkey, conducted a comprehensive health screening for approximately 350 seasonal agricultural workers in the Durakbaşı neighborhood of the Çarşamba district. Coordinated by the Samsun Provincial Health Directorate and implemented by the Çarşamba District Health Directorate, the initiative aimed to improve access to medical services and increase awareness regarding preventive healthcare.

During the field operation, medical teams performed blood sugar tests, height and weight measurements, and carbon monoxide testing. Additionally, officials provided critical information regarding breast and cervical cancer screenings, healthy nutrition, and the rational use of medications.

Dr. Kübra Gündüz Cebeci, the Çarşamba District Health Director, inspected the activities and emphasized the importance of increasing health literacy. She stated that the goal is to bring health services directly to citizens in various locations to ensure they can act more consciously regarding their own well-being.
