Health services launched in Kumarumã village, Oiapoque

The Government of Amapá, through the State Health Secretariat (Sesa) and in partnership with the Federal University of Amapá (Unifap), is conducting a health initiative in the Kumarumã village in Oiapoque. The program, which runs until Sunday (30), aims to expand access to healthcare services for the indigenous population by bringing professionals directly to their territory.

Approximately 50 professionals and students, including doctors, nurses, psychologists, and laboratory technicians, are participating in the action. Services offered include nursing triage, laboratory exams, medical consultations with specialists, psychological support, and pharmaceutical assistance. The initiative also serves as a practical training opportunity for Unifap students to engage with the realities of indigenous communities.
