Health services reorganize in Campo Grande and Campo Bom
The Municipal Health Secretariat (Sesau) in Campo Grande is reorganizing its service hours and staff shifts. According to Yama Higa, the superintendent of Specialized Care and Urgency, the measure aims to optimize the distribution of the available workforce and align operations with the current administrative structure. While operating hours for various units are changing, the core services offered to the population remain the same. As part of this restructuring, specialized orthopedic outpatient services have been moved to the Municipal Specialty Center (CEM).
In Campo Bom, the Municipal Center for Support of School Diversity (Cemade) has implemented a decentralized service model. Since the beginning of 2026, professionals have expanded their reach to various municipal locations to improve access for students. Cemade currently serves 267 children, averaging 726 monthly appointments. This decentralization has added 60 weekly hours of service and includes specialized support in fields such as psychology, speech therapy, physiotherapy, and occupational therapy across multiple community and school sites.
