Healthcare and social assistance updates in Rome and Cassino

In Rome and surrounding areas, the association Angeli senza Ali APS has provided assistance to over 200 elderly and disabled individuals since its founding in May 2024. Led by clinical psychologist Lorenzo Urbani, the organization operates primarily in Rome's IV and V Municipalities, offering a combination of logistical support, such as transportation, and psychological care to combat loneliness and manage degenerative pathologies.

In Cassino, local health services are undergoing reorganization. The Family Counseling Center (Consultorio familiare) is scheduled to return to the city this coming Tuesday, relocating to the Santa Scolastica hospital in spaces previously used by the Pulmonology department. Additionally, the Territorial Operational Center (COT) will return to a new location within the District's structures. These services had been temporarily moved to Pontecorvo due to facility issues. Local officials have called for further clarity regarding broader healthcare challenges, including staffing shortages and the delayed opening of the Community Hospital.
