E22 expansion: 1,926-ton bridge moved into place in Lund

As part of the E22 expansion project, a massive 1,926-ton bridge is being moved into place over Tunavägen. The operation is expected to take approximately five hours, with the bridge being pushed into position at a speed of 10 meters per hour using four launching beams and twenty jacks.

This major infrastructure work is causing significant traffic diversions around Lund, affecting several bus lines and local transit. Following the Tunavägen bridge installation, a second bridge for the Scheelevägen underpass is scheduled to be moved into place within 24 hours.
