Healthcare facilities in Argentina and Uruguay implement infrastructure upgrades
Healthcare facilities in Argentina and Uruguay have announced significant infrastructure and equipment upgrades.
In Argentina, the Hospital Regional de Vera has reopened its Medical Clinic ward, restoring inpatient services for the city and the Cuña Boscosa Santafesina region. The reopening follows previous controversial reforms where a former clinic space was converted into an intensive care unit that failed to become operational due to a lack of specialists. The new ward includes differentiated areas for men and women.
In Uruguay, the Nueva Helvecia Auxiliary Center has undergone structural remodeling and a technological upgrade. Supported by the Administration of State Health Services (ASSE) and donations from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the center integrated new digital X-ray equipment and a high-precision ultrasound machine. These improvements aim to serve over 4,200 users across Nueva Helvecia, Cufré, and Colonia Valdense by integrating diagnostic data directly into electronic medical records.
