Healthcare firms secure funding for medical devices and analytics
EHA Impact Ventures has invested an additional $100,000 in Ananya Health to support the development of a portable, battery-powered cryoablation device for cervical cancer prevention. The funding aims to advance the device toward United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance, which the company targets by mid-2027. Unlike traditional cryoablation, which requires specialized doctors and expensive equipment, this device is designed for use by clinicians such as nurse-midwives and obstetricians in primary healthcare settings.
Separately, Vheda Health has secured $47 million in institutional capital from Agora. The investment will facilitate the national expansion of Vheda’s outcomes and analytics platform, which serves high-risk members of health plans. The company, which has operated for 13 years, uses clinical and behavioral data to trigger interventions for chronic care and maternity programs. Vheda reports that its platform has generated over $975 million in savings for its health plan partners.
