Healthcare industry conferences to address facility design and policy

Upcoming healthcare industry conferences in October 2026 will address operational, design, and policy challenges facing global and domestic health systems.

The International Federation of Healthcare Engineering (IFHE) World Congress will take place in New Orleans from October 17-20. Hosted by the Association of Medical Facility Professionals, the event will feature experts from various continents discussing healthcare facility modernization, sustainability, and the impact of emerging technologies. Sessions will explore how healthcare systems manage thin operating margins while investing in AI and facility transformation.

Separately, the Health Management Associates (HMA) Conference is scheduled to open on October 6. The event will feature a discussion between Louisiana Department of Health Secretary Bruce D. Greenstein and New Jersey Commissioner of the Department of Human Services Stephen Cha, MD. Their dialogue will focus on navigating federal policy changes, managing fiscal pressures in public healthcare programs, and utilizing artificial intelligence to reduce administrative burdens.
