Healthcare infrastructure projects launched in Burgo de Osma and Cangas
Local governments in Spain are initiating infrastructure projects to improve healthcare access. In Burgo de Osma, the City Council has launched a tender for the construction of a new medical helipad. Located on Avenida de la Constitución near the new health center, the project has a total budget of 74,845.17 euros. The construction is expected to take approximately two months once work begins.
In Cangas, a project to improve accessibility around the local health center is moving forward with a budget of 1,532,180.40 euros. This initiative is co-funded by the Diputación de Pontevedra and the Cangas City Council. The works aim to address current limitations such as narrow sidewalks, steep slopes, and poor pavement quality to ensure safer pedestrian access and smoother ambulance departures. The project is scheduled for completion by December 31, 2027.
