Healthcare infrastructure projects announced in Memphis and Kelowna

Regional One Health has unveiled designs for a new $1 billion, 600,000-square-foot medical center in Memphis. The project, located at the former Commercial Appeal property on Union Avenue, aims to replace aging facilities and expand capacity to 315 beds. Demolition and construction preparations are currently underway to reconnect downtown Memphis with the Medical District.

In Kelowna, the Stober Group has proposed a four-storey medical building in the Landmark district at 1896 Dayton Street. The development, which is pending city council approval, would feature commercial businesses on the ground floor and various medical uses above. The design includes enhanced electrical and HVAC systems to support diverse treatment types, with parking to be split between an underground parkade and the nearby Dickson parkade.
