Healthcare initiatives expand home-based medical services in Italy

Various local initiatives in Italy are expanding home-based healthcare services to support vulnerable populations and improve accessibility.

In Sesto Fiorentino, the Misericordia di Sesto and the Vincent Orazio cooperativa Arl Onlus have launched a free home nursing service for individuals facing economic hardship. Funded by Publiacqua Spa through the ‘I Care’ grant, the program provides qualified nurses to perform wound care, injections, vital sign monitoring, and chronic disease management directly at patients' homes.

In Cesena, BCC Romagnolo has donated a vehicle to the Rehabilitative Medicine Unit of the Bufalini Hospital. This donation is part of a project to strengthen territorial physiotherapy services, allowing professionals to reach patients with limited mobility or those living in peripheral areas more efficiently.
