Healthcare initiatives expand in Ikorodu and Ondo State
In Lagos State, the iCare Foundation provided free medical services to more than 500 residents of Ikorodu. The outreach, facilitated by House of Representatives member Babajimi Benson, included general medical checks, dental care, and optometry services. Organizers noted that the program aimed to promote preventive healthcare, specifically targeting the early detection of conditions like hypertension and diabetes.
In Ondo State, the government has partnered with the Lifespring Development Foundation to manage healthcare commodities. This collaboration focuses on preventing shortages and wastage of sexual and reproductive health supplies, including maternal and child health and family planning resources. The partnership is currently active in the Ondo West, Ese Odo, and Ifedore local government areas as part of a federal Sexual and Reproductive Health Project.
