Healthcare IT advancements in Japan: NAC Care and Acompany implement new digital solutions

NAC Care has been contracted by Atsugi City in Kanagawa Prefecture to manage health examination encouragement services. The initiative aims to improve the city's health screening rates, which currently stand at 30.2% for fiscal year 2024. NAC Care will utilize its 'Lifestyle Advice Sheets'—personalized advice based on medical examination results supervised by diabetes specialists—and targeted notification sheets to encourage citizens to undergo screenings for lifestyle-related diseases.

In a separate development, Acompany has implemented its 'Acompany Secure Chat' service at Keijinkai, a medical and nursing care corporation in Nagano Prefecture. The service uses confidential computing to allow the safe use of generative AI by automatically detecting and masking sensitive personal information. Following the implementation, Keijinkai reported that the time required for staff to complete patient record-keeping tasks was reduced from approximately one hour to 20 minutes per case.
