Healthcare organizations launch new food service initiatives in Argentina and Spain

Healthcare and social organizations in Argentina and Spain are launching initiatives to improve nutritional access for vulnerable populations.

In Argentina, the San Felipe Hospital Cooperative has inaugurated a new Healthy Buffet. The project was funded by 8,000,000 pesos obtained through a Ternium award, supplemented by funds raised from a community solidarity event. The space aims to provide balanced and accessible food for patients, families, and hospital staff.

In Granada, Spain, the Hospitaller Order of San Juan de Dios has announced a 100,000 euro renovation of its social dining room. Funded by Ferrovial through the ‘On the move for Zero Hunger Spain’ program, the project includes upgrading dining areas, showers, and access points, as well as creating multipurpose spaces for food distribution and social inclusion training. The renovation is expected to last three months, during which meal services will continue via individual containers to ensure uninterrupted support for the thousands of beneficiaries served annually.
