Healthcare professionals and students undergo specialized medical training
Healthcare professionals and students in the region are participating in various specialized training programs to enhance medical skills and patient care.
Ten students from the Zentai Egészségügyi Középiskola participated in an Erasmus+-supported internship in Slovakia between May 15 and 28. The program allowed students to gain practical experience in medical facilities in Királyhelmec, Nagygéres, and Nagytarkány, where they worked with modern technologies, performed EKGs, administered infusions, and practiced patient observation. The initiative also included four accompanying teachers to observe the Slovakian healthcare system.
In a separate professional development initiative, sixty healthcare workers from six hospitals in the Szeklerland region attended a two-day Hungarian-language training organized by the Kanta Szakképző Központ. Conducted in collaboration with the Békéscsabai Szakképzési Centrum and the Békés County Central Hospital, the program focused on essential soft skills, including patient communication, conflict management, and crisis handling. This session is part of a larger series that has trained 181 professionals to date, emphasizing that quality care depends on both medical expertise and effective interpersonal interaction.
