Healthcare providers in UAE and Saudi Arabia advance digital technology adoption
Trellis Health, an Al Ghurair-backed healthcare group in Dubai, has selected InterSystems IntelliCare to serve as the digital foundation for its expanding network. The group, which operates Trellis Hospital in Jumeirah and is developing further outpatient clinics and a new hospital, aims to integrate artificial intelligence into clinical and operational workflows. The InterSystems platform, which is certified under the European Union’s Medical Device Regulation, is designed to reduce administrative tasks and improve care coordination through an AI-centered approach.
Separately, Aster DM Healthcare announced that seven of its hospitals in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia were included in Newsweek’s World’s Best Smart Hospitals 2027 list. The recognized facilities include Aster Hospital Al Qusais, Aster Hospital Mankhool, Medcare Hospital Al Safa, Medcare Orthopaedics & Spine Hospital, Medcare Royal Specialty Hospital, Medcare Hospital Sharjah, and Aster Sanad Hospital in Saudi Arabia. The rankings, compiled by Newsweek and Statista, evaluate hospitals based on digital maturity, peer recommendations, and healthcare-related certifications, specifically looking at domains such as AI, robotics, and automation.
