Healthcare providers launch heart health awareness initiatives in India
In observance of World Heart Day, healthcare institutions in India launched various initiatives to promote cardiovascular health awareness and preventive care.
In Bengaluru, SPARSH Hospitals implemented a multi-faceted campaign including the ‘HORN DONT MAADI’ initiative. This program, conducted in coordination with traffic police, aimed to reduce urban stress and noise exposure by encouraging responsible horn use at 15 major traffic signals. The hospital also organized the ‘SPARSH Hrudaya Ratha’ mobile screening service and the ‘Heart in Motion’ cyclothon to promote active lifestyles and accessible cardiac care.
In Greater Noida, Kailash Hospital hosted a round table meeting featuring experts in cardiology, nutrition, and emergency medicine. Under the theme ‘Don’t Miss a Beat’, the discussion focused on identifying early warning signs of heart disease, such as chest pain, breathlessness, and unusual fatigue. Medical professionals emphasized the necessity of timely intervention and warned against misattributing cardiac symptoms to common issues like acidity or exhaustion.
