Healthcare services expand in Kashmir through new campaigns and outreach

Healthcare initiatives in the Kashmir region are focusing on increased accessibility and community engagement. PARAS Health Srinagar has launched the ‘Thank You Kashmir’ campaign, a gratitude initiative aimed at recognizing the trust placed in its medical teams by residents of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh. The organization stated its goal is to provide sophisticated medical technology and specialized expertise locally to reduce the need for patients to travel outside the region for treatment.

Concurrently, renowned cardiologist and Padma Shri awardee Dr. Upendra Kaul has released the second edition of his memoir, 'When the Heart Speaks: Memoirs of a Cardiologist.' Dr. Kaul discussed his decades of service in the Valley, including providing medical assistance during the turbulent 1990s. He noted that the Gauri Kaul Foundation plans to expand its heart healthcare services to Jammu following outreach initiatives in Kashmir, emphasizing a model of bringing healthcare directly to patients.
