Healthcare services expand in Rimavská Sobota and Skalica

Several medical services in Slovakia are expanding or resuming operations this September following the return of specialists from maternity leave.

In Rimavská Sobota, a new pediatric clinic led by Dr. Zuzana Molnárová will open. The Banská Bystrica Self-Governing Region (BBSK) supported the launch with a 14,000 euro investment to help equip the facility. This marks the 15th clinic supported by the region to improve healthcare accessibility in areas currently facing pediatrician shortages.

Simultaneously, the Skalica Hospital (Fakultná nemocnica AGEL Skalica) is resuming its rheumatology clinic services under Dr. Diana Šohajdová. The clinic will initially operate from temporary premises in the biochemistry and hematology pavilion, providing diagnostics, treatment, and specialist consultations for patients with musculoskeletal and rheumatic diseases.
