Healthcare technology expands in Illinois and Michigan
OSF HealthCare is expanding its use of RapidAI technology across all 18 of its hospitals in Illinois and Michigan. The integration of the Rapid Enterprise Platform into hospital imaging systems and workflows aims to accelerate stroke diagnosis and clinical care coordination, particularly by connecting rural facilities with specialized expertise at comprehensive stroke centers in Peoria and Rockford.
Separately, the Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network has secured over $50 million in grant funding through the state’s Rural Health Transformation Program. This funding is designated to modernize technology and support the healthcare workforce at 78 rural and non-urban hospitals across Illinois. Approximately $31 million of the grant is dedicated to technology, with investments targeting cybersecurity, telehealth expansion, electronic health record optimization, and artificial intelligence.
