Healthcare technology firms deploy AI agents for administrative automation

Healthcare technology companies are expanding the use of specialized AI agents to automate administrative workflows and data integration.

Clearwave has launched an AI Patient Engagement Platform featuring an agentic AI workforce. The platform utilizes eight specialized agents to manage tasks such as inbound call handling, appointment scheduling, insurance eligibility verification, clinical intake, patient check-in, payment processing, and proactive patient outreach. The system is designed to integrate directly with existing Electronic Health Records and Practice Management systems to reduce administrative workloads.

In a separate development, Innovaccer and Mastek have formed a strategic partnership to advance healthcare AI and data integration across the US, UK, Europe, and the Middle East. The collaboration aims to resolve issues with fragmented datasets by creating unified data structures. Mastek will deploy Innovaccer’s AI platform to support interoperability and workflow automation, leveraging Mastek’s experience with the UK’s National Health Service to modernize legacy data infrastructure.
