Healthcare updates: Medical mission in Togo and new specialist in France

In Togo, residents of the Golfe 1 commune will have access to free medical consultations on Saturday, October 24, 2026. Held at the Klobatèmé medical-social center starting at 8:00 AM, the initiative is part of the 29th Chinese medical mission to Togo. Supported by the Ministry of Health and the LCT company, the program offers specialties including general medicine, general surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, and traditional Chinese medicine. The mission also includes the free distribution of pharmaceutical products to assist those facing financial difficulties.

In France, cardiologist Ilies Jaballah is set to open a private practice in Saint-Aubin-lès-Elbeuf on November 3, 2026. Located at 7 rue Jean-Monnet, the new clinic aims to address a significant local demand for cardiac care, as the town center has lacked a cardiologist for two years. Dr. Jaballah, who previously trained at CHU Charles-Nicolle, intends for his practice to serve as a local alternative to the Feugrais hospital services.
