Healthcare worker saves drowning French tourist in Ulcinj

Fetija Feta Jakupović, a healthcare worker from Novi Pazar, successfully resuscitated an elderly French tourist who had drowned at a beach in Ulcinj. The incident occurred on September 20 at the Otrant Hotel beach.

Witnesses reported that the woman, estimated to be between 75 and 80 years old, was lifeless, pale, and had no detectable pulse or breathing. Despite onlookers suggesting that the woman was already dead and advising Jakupović to stop, she performed continuous chest compressions and rhythmic resuscitation until the woman regained consciousness before emergency services arrived.

Following the incident, Jakupović and the rescued woman had an emotional reunion, where the tourist expressed her gratitude to the woman who saved her life.
