Healthpoint and Proximie partner to deploy AI surgical intelligence in Abu Dhabi

Healthpoint, a member of the M42 healthcare group, has partnered with Proximie to implement an AI-powered surgical intelligence platform across its primary operating rooms in Abu Dhabi. The initiative aims to enhance surgical coordination, scheduling, and overall operating room efficiency.

Utilizing AI models supported by Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud infrastructure, the platform analyzes surgical activity in real time. This allows clinical and operational teams to monitor procedures as they progress, identify potential delays early, and manage operating room capacity more effectively. The technology is designed to automatically capture and analyze each stage of a surgical case, providing teams with the foresight to adjust schedules and mitigate bottlenecks.

Healthpoint will be the first hospital within the M42 network to adopt this technology. The partnership follows a Memorandum of Understanding signed during the Abu Dhabi Future Health Summit, focusing on the use of data and advanced technology to improve the quality and coordination of surgical care.
