Healthy North Coast opens nominations for 2026 healthcare awards

Nominations are now open for the 2026 Healthy North Coast Primary Health Care Excellence Awards. The program aims to recognize individuals and teams contributing to healthcare across Northern New South Wales and the Mid North Coast.

Award categories include general practice, nursing, innovation, aged care, mental health, pharmacy, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health. The awards honor a wide range of professionals, including GPs, nurses, allied health workers, pharmacists, and administrators.

Healthy North Coast CEO Monika Wheeler stated that the awards provide an opportunity to celebrate those delivering improved health outcomes, noting that much significant work in primary care often occurs without public recognition. Nominations can be submitted by individuals, colleagues, managers, or community members and must be completed by October 5. The winners will be announced at a ceremony in Coffs Harbour on November 26.
