Italian hemodynamics laboratories join Resil-Card project

Approximately 60 Italian hemodynamics laboratories have joined Resil-Card, a European project designed to strengthen the ability of healthcare systems to ensure continuity in cardiovascular care during crises.

The initiative, supported by the Italian Society of Interventional Cardiology (Gise), aims to involve a total of 110 centers. Using a self-assessment tool, the project seeks to identify organizational weaknesses, measure emergency response capacities, and establish improvement priorities.

During the 47th Gise national congress in Milan, officials highlighted the use of a 'heat map' to visually represent assessment results, identifying areas of strength and those requiring further development. The goal is to optimize cardiovascular emergency networks, reduce territorial inequalities, and improve patient outcomes by ensuring timely treatment at appropriate centers.
