Heart health initiatives focus on prevention in Italy

In Pordenone, the Associazione Amici del Cuore Domenico Zanuttini ODV will host a heart health event on October 4 at the Loggia del Comune. Running from 9:00 to 13:00, the initiative is part of the World Heart Federation’s 2026 campaign, ‘Don’t Miss a Beat’. In collaboration with the Friuli Occidentale Health Agency and the Cardiology Department, the event offers free screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol, blood glucose, weight, and height to promote early diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases.

Additionally, the television program ‘Buongiorno Benessere’ on Rai 1 will feature a segment on cardiovascular prevention on October 3. Medical experts, including Professor Claudio Borghi and Professor Antonio Rebuzzi, will discuss the relationship between diet and blood pressure, as well as how to recognize the immediate signs of a heart attack.
