Heart of the Beast film follows veteran and dog survival saga

The film ‘Heart of the Beast’, directed by David Ayer, is a survival thriller centered on the bond between a retired Special Forces veteran, James Belmont (played by Brad Pitt), and his retired combat German Shepherd, Odin. Following a plane crash, the pair must navigate extreme environmental challenges and animal aggression to survive.

While the story is set in the remote wilderness of Alaska, the production was filmed in the South Island of New Zealand. The narrative is described as a suspense-driven odyssey that explores themes of loyalty, the lasting effects of war, and the profound connection between humans and animals.
