Hearts of Oak coach highlights Ghana football pitch crisis
Hearts of Oak head coach Nebojša Kapor has highlighted the lack of quality playing pitches as a major challenge facing Ghanaian football. Speaking after a 1-0 victory over Port City at the University of Ghana Stadium, Kapor noted that the poor condition of playing surfaces is a widespread issue in the country.
Kapor emphasized that inadequate infrastructure affects player performance, tactical implementation, and increases injury risks. He expressed hope that Hearts of Oak will eventually secure a permanent home stadium, as the club currently relies on national facilities. The coach stressed that improving pitch quality and stadium maintenance is essential for the development of the sport and the technical abilities of players in Ghana.
