Hearts of Oak prepares for new season as Medeama fails to sign goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi

Medeama Sporting Club explored signing Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi but could not meet the player's financial demands, causing the transfer to collapse. The club instead added Sudanese goalkeeper Monged Salman to its roster while continuing to search for options ahead of the upcoming Ghana Premier League campaign.

Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare, fresh from World Cup appearances with the Ghana national team, pledged to raise his performance levels for the 2026/27 season. Asare said he wants to prove his quality for both club and country and aims to help Hearts of Oak contend for the league title and retain his place in the Black Stars squad for future Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
