Heat Advisories Cover Oklahoma, Arkansas and New York Regions as Temperatures Near 109°F

Heat advisories were issued for large portions of eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas, with the National Weather Service forecasting heat index values up to 109 °F in some counties. The advisory, effective from noon to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, covers cities such as Tulsa, Muskogee, Fort Smith and surrounding counties. A separate advisory was released for New York’s Hudson Valley, covering Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties from Thursday morning until Friday evening, with expected heat index values around 100 °F.
